We've been coming to Round table in Kailua since childhood and now we bring our kids here. My how it has changed... and not for the better. Unfortunately the ambience is not cozy anymore. You don't order from a server anymore. You order at the counter and they bring the food. If you want to order more you need to stand up, which is fine but they have people who are walking around who look like servers... a little confusing.
The food has been consistently tasty for the most part. We come here for the kids mostly. -

This place no longer has waitstaff! So be sure to either phone in your order before heading down to dine in or order as soon as you walk in the door cuz it gets pretty crazy at the register.
A medium pizza here is $26! for 8 slices! That's over $3 a slice! Wtf? Next time we crave pizza we're going to pieology!!!!! -

Waipahu just recently got their own Round Table Pizza (Old Shakeys) so with excitement in my heart I went. It was ok, but to my dismay it wasn't like the Kailua one. Today I journeyed to the Windward side's Round Table to verify and make sure it wasn't just in my head. Guess what? It wasn't in my head. The Kailua Round Table is SUPERIOR to the Waikiki and Waipahu Round Table. Needless to say I was disappointed. I will gladly take the drive to Kailua to get my Round Table fix. The oven makes a HUGE difference in the quality of the pizza.

This rating is just for the food. If I had to rate the dine-in service it would be 2 stars. I love Round Table pizzas! I usually pick up pizzas at the Hilton location in Waikiki, but we happened to be in the area and decided to dine in. The service started out good. After they took our order and dropped the drinks and food they went MIA. It wasn't busy inside either. We had to go up and ask them for boxes and the check even though we asked one of the waitresses and she never returned.
They no longer offer the margherita pizza, which is a bummer because it was my favorite. So we ordered two small pizzas, the King Arthur Supreme and Italian Garlic Supreme both on original crust. The King Arthur was good but the Garlic was my favorite. It had a lot of flavor and the crust was PERFECT! The original crust is thin and super crispy, it's the best pizza crust I've had for sure. They do offer pan crust if you like it thicker.
We also ordered hot and spicy wings and lemon pepper wings. They were both good and came out fresh. Overall I love the pizzas here they just need to work on service. The Hilton location is much busier but they can make pizzas faster!
